I have been self-employed since 1995 and, as a small business owner, I have learned many lessons the hard way… through trial-and-error, missed opportunities, doing-it-myself, and losing buckets of money to smooth-talking sales folk. But these lessons have allowed me to develop greater determination, expertise, and hunger to learn more… and a strong desire to help others avoid the circuitous, expensive, and heart-wrenching route that I have taken!
In particular, I have a passion about using the internet, as it opens the doors to meet new people, stay in touch with those we know and love, get the facts we need, buy and sell, and learn new things. There are so many tools, resources, and opportunities available to us today. Every person and organization – whether non-profit, private sector, or governmental – must become engaged or be left behind… waayyy behind.
And I love to share what I have learned with family, friends, customers, and colleagues. In addition to what I do in my consulting practice, I relish those moments when someone says, “But I don’t know how to set up a blog!” or “What’s the point of Twitter, anyway?” or “What’s the difference between a Facebook profile and a Facebook page?” Well, those kinds of words just bring a smile to my face and, if the person will allow it, a mini-lesson to the table!
So, let’s get started. Contact me and let me know how I can help.
